Certainly you have heard of “Hannah Montana” that smash hit Disney Channel series featuring Miley Cyrus. If not… sweet niblets, where’ve ya been?!

“Hannah Montana Forever,” as the title was renamed for its finale season, premiered in March of 2006, the show centers around the character Miley Stewart who leads a double life as pop sensation Hannah Montana. It gave Miley Cyrus, who portrayed Stewart, superstar status and spawned two theatrical movies, “Hannah Montana the Movie” and the “Best of Both Worlds Concert” in 3D!

Now, the complete final season is available on DVD which includes the hour long episode “I’ll Always Remember You” from the final season. In this episode, Miley appears on the Jay Leno “Tonight Show” and makes the long-agonized decision to cease leading a double life as Hannah Montana, and to take off the wig and show the world her true identity. The emotional episode is the quintessential climax to the series, however there are four more episodes to follow, portraying see how Miley deals with the big storyline change. The series finale episode sees Miley with the opportunity to shoot a movie in Paris, but this would thwart her longer-term plans to attend college with her best friend Lilly – all making for a touching episode.

Surprisingly, the set is quite light on BONUS FEATURES:

ALTERNATE ENDING: WHEREVER I GO (1:51)

This version of the last moments of the series finale is completely different than the heartwarming version that aired. In fact, this version doesn’t deal with Miley Stewart nor Hannah Montana, but is a recreation of life 12 years ago, when Miley Cyrus only dreamed of being a rock star. Fun to see, but I’m glad this wasn’t the actual series finale.

FROM AUDITIONS TO WRAP: THE CAST LOOKS BACK (5:24)

This piece kicks off with an audition clip in which Billy Ray Cyrus makes some predictions about the yet to be aired series’ success. From there, it’s comprised of a few seconds of auditions and snippets of rehearsal clips, but primarily reflections by Miley, Emily Osment (Lilly), Mitchell Musso (Oliver), Jason Earles (Jackson) and Moises Arias (Rico).

Obviously original audition footage exists as well as rehearsal and backstage footage exists. The audition footage was touted in commercials, so why not show a good five or ten minutes of just that rather than the less than one minute that is presented?

CAST GOODBYES (1:55)

The entire cast gathers on the set for a couple minutes to turn toward the camera and deliver touching messages to the viewer.

Lastly, this set includes a couple souvenirs. The packaging refers to HANNAH PHOTO WITH SIGNATURE which is a photo card with a Hannah Montana” (not Miley Cyrus) autograph printed on it.

Then there’s the COLLECTIBLE 28-PAGE MEMORY BOOK. Attached to the DVD case (you can’t remove it), this beautiful high-gloss booklet and plenty of photos packed in. There’s also a little trivia and some interesting and humorous quotes from the cast regarding the show and their futures.
