The buds are back in the latest DVD “Buddies” release, Air Bud: Golden Receiver. Following the success of the original Air Bud, a film about Bud, a golden retriever with a knack at shooting hoops, this second installment begs to find out if Bud can lick the game of football.

With Bud and his owner on the team, hoping to bring the Timberwolves to the state championship, their hopes of victory are sidelined when two sinister Russian circus owners take a bite out of everyone’s plans and dognap Buddy for their star attraction.

Since the release of Air Bud: Golden Receiver, there have been a series of DVD sequels featuring the offspring of Bud, the younger “buddies,” Budderball, B-Dawg, Mudbud, Buddha and Rosebud, the stars the BONUS FEATURE:

THE BUDDIES SPORTS CHANNEL (6:04) takes paws for a spoof on television sports channels. With new footage of the pups, the canine quintet gives a play-by-play sports commentary using clips of the game in the film.
