WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE THE MOVIE
DVD release date: December 15, 2009

The magical residents of Waverly Place are appearing in a movie based on the hit Disney Channel series, Wizards of Waverly Place.

Not just an extended episode, Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie goes on location as the Russo, a family of wizards in training set off for the Caribbean.

Alex, played by superstar Selena Gomez, is not your typical sugary sweet do-gooder, but that just makes it more fun to watch her, such as when she cleverly uses her magic to go to a party that her mother has forbid her to attend. As punishment, Alex is now forced to go on vacation with the family, where even more amusing mishaps occur.

Not just for kids, this grownup enjoyed watching to see what would happen if Alex’s parents had never met, and just how they will ever get back together.

In addition to BONUS FEATURES, for a limited time, the DVD comes with an actual Color-Changing Wishing Stone With Clip. With the same technology as the mood ring I had back in the ‘70s, it enchanted my kids as it changed from green to blue, just as I enjoyed it when I was their age.

The bonus feature WIZ PIX (10:25) brings you to Puerto Rico with David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, Selena Gomez, Ruby’s stunt parrots, and other members of the cast and production team for a glimpse at the making of Stone of Dreams, as the film was originally to be called. This ten and a half minute piece is packed with interviews and behind the scenes footage to demonstrate what movie magic is needed to bring the wizard’s magic onscreen.

Hope this helped you know what the Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie DVD has conjured up.
