SWANSON LANE Come participate in a question and answer
session with someone who worked closely with Walt
Disney, Connie Swanson Lane.
Connie is Disneyland's 1966 Ambassador to the
World. She was the second Ambassador ever, and the only
one of two to personally work with Walt Disney. The prestigious honor of being selected as a
Disneyland Ambassador began in 1965 during the 10th
anniversary of Disneyland, when Walt Disney realized the
need for an additional representative to help fulfill
the many media, public appearance and VIP hosting
requests he received. As a result, he selected the very
first Ambassador and the tradition has continued ever
since.
As Connie said, "It's like a year of pixie dust. Other
than having your kids which nothing can beat, it's the
best thing that can happen."
Connie's stories of her experiences are sure to
prove fascinating for Disney fans of any age...
including me! From her experiences with Walt Disney at
the grand opening of New Orleans Square in Disneyland to
the technical difficulties encountered during the grand
opening of "it's a small world" in Disneyland, we'll
hear rare first-hand stories of Disney history from
someone who was a part of it! HAUNTED MANSION
In
addition to all the magic of the Disney Cruise, and my
onboard interview with Connie with never before seen
video and audio, I'll "ghost" host a
HAUNTED MANSION TALK ON HALLOWEEN NIGHT,
with rare stories from those I've interviewed who worked
on the attraction such as Marc Davis, Harriet Burns,
Blaine Gibson, X Atencio and many more.
